*Type

Use

This *Command displays the contents of the named file using the configured *Dump format.

Syntax

*Type [-File] filename [-TabExpand]

Parameters

-File Optional prefix to filename, but has no effect
filename Valid pathname specifying a file
–TabExpand Expand tab characters (ASCII 9) to 8 spaces

Notes

To display the contents of a file but with line numbers, use *List instead.

The format of data to display can be set using *Configure DumpFormat.
