Software information: Beta Iyonix softload

Are you considering running the softload development (beta) ROM on your IYONIX?

If so, you should treat it with extreme caution! It could include a number of largely untested changes to system critical components, not least the FileCore module since the last official ROM image was released. If any of these changes are faulty, data on your hard drive may be permanently damaged or lost.

So, we have two suggestions:

• make sure you have regular backups to another machine (there’s nothing to say the backed-up files might not be corrupted though)
• stick with the latest official ROM softload

Only if you understand the risks should you be trying the development ROM softload.
