Software information: HeapUtils

Status

Current status: stable

Last stable version: 0.02

Overview

The HeapUtils module is a work-around for a long-standing RISC OS problem where any software which wants to claim memory from a dynamic area OS heap (such as the RMA) in an interrupt context cannot be sure that it will get the memory because the heap may not contain a large enough free block but cannot grow during an interrupt.

More information can be found here.

Installation Instructions

Just double-click the module to start it running. Ideally, place it into your PreDesk directory so that you have it running all the time.
