Overview

This is the main !Printers application. It provides a graphical user interface for controlling the printing functions as well as being the location where all of the main printing components are stored.

Installation Instructions

Replace your existing !Printers application with this one (keep a backup of the old one somewhere – just in case). You may also want to download the PrintDefs component from this site.

Known issues

Version 1.75 fixes various build issues with the previous version, which means it should now be a complete installation of the !Printers application, including the RemotePrinterSupport components.

Release 1.74 includes support for PCL printing. It requires the latest PrintDefs. It should be noted that the RemotePrinterSupport component is not present in this release because that currently does not build under the sources released thus far.

An early release of version 1.73 of this component had a stack imbalance in the PDriverDP and PDriverPS modules which left it unstable. This release attempts to fix that problem (thanks to John-Mark Bell) and may result in a more stable printer stack.
