From this page you can access all of the source code and binary material (ready-built components) that ROOL has on offer.
Pre-built components (applications, ROM images, etc.)
Please note: the “development” components are completely untested and come straight from building the latest sources in CVS. They also come without installation or usage instructions, although they each have a link to a page on our Wiki so feel free to add your comments and info there for us!
The software is subdivided into the following categories:
RISC OS packaging project
Work is underway to migrate RISC OS over from ad hoc software installation to a managed solution using a package manager. The system which RISC OS Open like the most is called RiscPkg and more information can be found on that site. For the Raspberry Pi, RISC OS Open created a modified version of the PackMan front end application and set up a package repository. More details, including the various repository URLs can be found at http://packages.riscosopen.org/.
Source code tarballs and repository
Download archives of our source code releases. Or you can browse our source repository (CVS) to find information about particular revisions of the source code to the released RISC OS components.
- Source code archives
- Direct read-only CVS access
- Browse the live CVS source repository
- Show the latest changes in CVS
Developers are also directed to the allocations page, for making reservations and allocations of various things in order to avoid your RISC OS software clashing with that from other people.
