old text editors: !twin

While I’m messing around with the source for old text editors, I’ll point out that now that somebody 32bitted TWIN, !twin (on stuttgart) works now. !twin is just a WIMP frontend and twin still runs full screen, but it’s pure BASIC so it does actually still work on my Pi2! |

I did that. One of many, I suppose. ;-) https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/5/topics/6767 On your 32 bit Twin, does it cope with F10? What modes does it try to set (I altered mine to fit MODE28 and changed the colours accordingly as MODE1/3 don’t work on the Pi)? Does the clock work? ;-) Turns out I 32 bitted an ancient copy. I have a newer source now (the one mentioned in the forum thread linked above), but… Did I did that one too? Don’t remember. I mostly did it for the lulz as I use Zap (and wrote REdit in C for single tasking). |

Yes, credit where credit due, thank you for keeping ancient software alive! :-) F10 does seem to work (not quite sure what ctrl-shift-F10 is even supposed to do), but Goto, Toggle, and Newline functions seem do to their thing. I’m not sure what screen modes it tries to use, I use AnyMode, so the GPU handles all the hairy details about that. :-) The clock displays… a time… GMT perhaps, certainly not local time. |
