NetSurf 3.8

I happened to go to the NetSurf site and noticed that 3.8 is now available. However, when I click the Zip, SparkFS reports “central directory not found”. I’ve downloaded it twice; is the copy on the NetSurf server damaged or have I just been exceptionally unlucky with file corruption during the download? |

Not you. Just downloaded and tried to open the archive on my phone using the ES Zip Viewer. It reports that the header is invalid. |

I downloaded it on my Mac and it unzipped successfully. I then compared MD5 sums between the files on the Mac and on the Pi, and they didn’t match. I downloaded it on the Pi a third time and the sums then matched, and the file opened successfully. It’s rare that things get damaged in transit so it seems that I had terrible luck! Or maybe the server was doing something dodgy for a while, since Rick ran into issues too. Anyway, all sorted now :) For anyone curious, the broken one was 9b7a9425e945b475bffa13295ec031a0 and the correct one is 21bbf669b2bfbb2aaf3f97cd91452234. |

ES Zip Viewer is still reporting broken (MD5 21bbf669b2bfbb2aaf3f97cd91452234) so I wonder if there’s something in there that a Unix style filling system would object to? |

The Samsung file viewer opens the zip, gets as far as making !Unicode (in Boot) then gives up with an error. My problem must be a weird filename rather than corruption. |

Downloaded here with Netsurf 3.7 on a RiscPc (running 4.03) no issues unpacking or running. |
