Omni 2.28 when running on my RiscPC with RO 4.39 and connecting to a Windows 10 machine will show long filename with 8.3 ~ notation. Is there a solution to this first time showing 8.3 notation filenames? Thanks. |

It sounds like the (ROM based?) LanManFS is being used first, then 2nd time the copy inside !Omni is being loaded, and it can do long filenames. To see if that’s the case, do
before and after to see if it changes. LanManFS 2.70 on RISC OS 4.02 working fine here with Windows 10 and long filenames. |

Thanks for that. You are right. Very strange though. I can’t figure out why the new version is only loaded on the second time. |

My version of OmniClient’s File.Startuo RMEnsure’s version 1.80 of LanManFS which means the old on in ROM will be used, that should be changed to 2.61 to load the new module when it starts. When it quits it would seem it is killing the modules, so next time the new version will be reloaded. |
