A few weeks ago I added some code to OMAPVideo to make RISC OS use the TV-out if a TV is detected. There’s a good chance that’s what’s causing the problem, so I’ve now changed the HAL to stop the code being used on the Pandora.

Hopefully my Pandora will have the same problems as yours, so I can implement a proper fix.

@Ben
I thought to myself, but wanted to ask again for safety’s sake.

The new Pandora is my brother. I should just make some adjustments. As long as the old Pandora works, I have no problem ;-)

@Jeffrey
I wonder about the different behavior of the two Pandoras. I have been soldered a video cable. No picture under RISC OS. In Linux, both devices behave the same. Unfortunately Notaz and EvilDragon have not answered my questions. Vacation time, I hope.
I hope you get your Pandora soon.

I’ll continue to test the new ROM on the new Pandora.

Is that the commit at: Tue Aug 07 23:16 2012 BST?
Because it appears to be in the wrong area: Modified: castle/RiscOS/Sources/HAL/OMAP3/{VersionASM, VersionNum, s/board}

So the resulting update is in the beagle (OMAP3) ROM not the pandora (OMAP4)

Pandora is OMAP3, Panda is OMAP4 ;-)

I will try later after work …

Too many P’s :-(
Could be worse I suppose Odroid-X, Odroid-PC, Origen…

I will try later after work …

At home, having a break from the Great British Beer Festival, back there Saturday to take things apart.
Brain sort of in neutral.

What a coincidence, in Berlin last weekend was also a beer festival.
The same result … ;-)

Hooray, the new Pandora works again.
RISC OS on the new Pandora is usable again. Display is back. Thank you.
SDFS also works. Unfortunately, not all cards work as good as with the old Pandora. So what, I have a working set.
Many thanks!

Yes, there is no support for the Pandora, Touchbook or OMAP3EVM at the moment. If the board detection is working correctly, you should not see any SDFS drives for those devices.

Any work done on this, Ben? Tried, in vain, to get an overlapping partition image to work on the touchbook, before I saw this!
