StrongHelp on Pi

If you open the ‘Apps’ window, click MENU over the !StrongHelp application and select ‘Help’ you get the error message File ‘SDFS::RISCOSpi.$.Apps.Misc.!StrongHelp.!Run’ not found. Similar error messages are produced if you double-click a stronghelp file. Re-running !StrongHelp resets the ‘Alias$@RunType_3d6’ variable to the correct value. |

Weird. That worked last time I tested it. StrongHelp is under PackMan management so hopefully we can roll-out a fix that way in the next few days – once the London Show is out of the way. |

Today I read any with StrongHelp (I mean 2.86b DE) on my RPi by doubleclick the manuals (e.g. from AppBasic). No problems. |

Once !StrongHelp has been run then it will work OK henceforth. Its !Boot file only sets the variable ‘Alias$@RunType_3d6’ if it is unset when !StrongHelp is first seen by the filer. Somewhere else this variable is being set to the wrong value.. |

That looks like it was a screwup in my packaging of it, my apologies. I’ve made a new version, but my Pi power supply is having a sulk and I can’t test it tonight. You can install it by:
If that’s OK I’ll roll it out into the main repository. In future I may use the above for testing other development packages, so if you don’t want those you might wish to remove that source entry afterwards. |

I have searched the string with grep… any programs with a StrongHelp-manual inside (e.g.!Messenger, !Organizer) are setting this… Edit: Sorry, I have not see the post from Theo Markettos. |
