Raspberry Pi mouse

I am using a Raspberry Pi keyboard and mouse with an Rpi 4B using RO5.28. Every now and then the mouse crashes, and the pointer cannot be moved. Knowing no better, I have to switch off. On my Linux machine, if the mouse ceases to operate, I find that disconnecting it from its USB port and reconnecting, usually gets it functioning again – no switching off needed. But this method does not work with RO 5.28. I presume the problem is a USB one. Does RISC OS use a daemon coroutine to be on the watch for what is connected? Any advice gratefully accepted. |

Are you using the keyboard hub for the mouse? ISTR there’s an issue with that. |

USB Hubs on XHCI must comply strictly with the spec or they won’t work. Pi 4B will reject flaky hubs. |

I had been plugging the mouse into the USB port on the Raspberry Pi keyboard. Now I have plugged it into the remaining USB2 slot on the Pi itself. No problems so far. What is XHCI? Don’t tell me the official Raspberry Pi keybord/mouse combo is non-compliant! |
