Inability to change screen mode in BASIC editor
Kim Faulkner (84) 30 posts |
I have been exploring RISC OS Pico on R-Pi and looking again at the BASIC editor. The screen mode doesn’t seem to be able to be changed like it used to be able to. For users without the function key strip, the screen mode is invoked with Shift-F3 and then Page-Down twice. When the mode is attempted to be changed, the error “This is not a valid mode” is displayed, whatever the parameter entered. It is then not clear how the message is erased so that editing can be resumed. Is this something that we can do anything about? Any comments would be welcome. |

Has anybody found a method of exiting the Screen Options window and returning to editing or is pulling the plug the only way? |

Pressing shift-F3 (per Kim’s post) opens the options, typed a different mode number, then pressed escape and the mode change took effect. This is with ARMBE 1.06, what version are you using? |
