File extensions added to files on sd card

I came across an odd problem today, and wondered if anyone else had seen anything like it. The OS build was a summer build, before the HAL/cmos changes were done. The customer claimed to have never removed the SD card from his board, yet the “cmos” file, and “riscos” file It struck me as very odd, and normally I’d assume that the customer had tried the SD card in another machine, I’m tempted to chalk it up as a mystery, but figured I’d check if anyone else had come across anything similar. |

There’s nothing a regular ROM image (or u-boot/x-loader) could do to cause that. I don’t think it would even be possible for that to happen with the broken versions of the CMOS save code. Had he used any of Dave’s other utilities, e.g. BBFlash? |

Sadly I’m just going on the customer’s report. As I said, I couldn’t imagine that would make sense either. Oh well. |
