I was looking at the RISC OS source header file that lists the core errors, as it was easier to find that than any list of errors in the PRM. I came across this interesting entry:
I can’t find “Wont” in the ADFS source, so I presume this may have been something present on the Beeb/Master that is not relevant these days? |

I remember playing with an Acorn ABC preview computer at an Earls Court Exhibition and getting the “Won’t” error message. I half expected that it had another error message “Shan’t” and it stamped it’s feet in a huff! |

Error codes - numerically ordered list &93 147 Won't Error messages &93 Won't An attempt has been made to *RUN a file whose load address is &FFFFFFFF. The filing system commands *RUN <*obspec*> If a file's load address is &FFFFFFFF, *RUN <filename> will produce the error message Won't |
