RiscPC VRAM Fail

After many years the VRAM in my RiscPC has failed. The last timeI saw this fault was over 25 years ago, when removing a refitting did the job After a bit of brain searching I have got the Rpc going again but only with 1Mb of main memory. Does anyone know a certain way of expanding and permenantly setting the memory used for video. Even better, is it possible to expand the video memory to 4 or 8Mb ? It would make my day if the display could be set to 1360 × 768 @60Hz and 256 colours, or more, Many thanks. |

If “Video RAM” is taken from main RAM, you can only have 1 MB. Only dedicated VRAM allows 2 MB. It is not possible (well, maybe possible, but it has not been done) to use more than 2 MB VRAM because of limitations of IOMD/VIDC20. |
