I’m not sure what you mean. Comments – or indeed any other change to a bug – are listed in order of change submission, giving details of what has been altered. The history of changes to a bug report is thus entirely explicit.

There’s an important “not” missing from the details on this bug report. Whoops. Yes, comments are shown in chronological order, but a comment might be in direct reply to another, and the BTS does not store this relationship, nor display it.

Modified by Andrew Hodgkinson (6) Sat, May 19 2007 - 20:36:37 GMT

  • Milestone changed from Unspecified to Batch Two code release completed
  • Release changed from Unspecified to Batch Two code release

Wonder what the next Collaboa release will bring in this respect… Just one thing to test mind you:

“There’s an important “not” missing from the details on this bug report.”

  • Milestone changed from Batch Two code release completed to 2nd public site release completed
  • Release changed from Batch Two code release to 2nd public site release

…Nah, doesn’t pick up quotes in the same way as the forum software. Perhaps there’s an opportunity for code sharing there.

Anyway, I’ve assigned this to the 2nd public site release (and briefly, because I was tired, the batch two code release – doh) so it gets tracked with all the other upgrade related stuff.

  • Status changed from Open to WontFix

Collaboa never got threaded comments and development ceased around version 0.6.1.

Retrospectiva and Redmine are currently maintained equivalents, with much greater functionality. Retrospectiva has a much closer similarity in data to Collaboa, so it represents a much easier target for migrating data. Even so, it’s a big task.

Neither of them offer threaded comments, though Redmine does have an auto-quoting reply mechanism relying on JavaScript.

I’ve upgraded all apps to use a common and up to date Textile dialect on the development branch. This allows “bq. <foo>” style quoting, as in the Forum currently, in Collaboa or Retrospectiva. So this is being set to ‘WontFix’, but there are reasonable workarounds going live soon.
