Ticket #489 (Fixed)Wed May 20 12:04:38 UTC 2020

Ctrl-X and Ctrl-C not working as expected in filer rename writable icon

Reported by: Ewen Pring (3163) Severity: Normal
Part: RISC OS: Module Release:
Milestone: Status Fixed

Details by Ewen Pring (3163):

Ctrl-X copies to clipboard instead of cutting to clipboard.

Ctrl-X and Ctrl-C close the writable icon, whereas other shortcuts (Ctrl-K,U,V,Z,A) leave it writable for continued editing.

Using RISC OS 5.27 (17-May-2020) softload on Titanium hardware. Not using IcnClipBrd module at the same time, or anything else outside RISC OS core.

Changelog:

Modified by Sprow (202) Sat, May 23 2020 - 07:22:16 GMT

  • Part changed from RISC OS: General to RISC OS: Module

Just for info: I rolled back to Wimp-5_65 (the oldest Wimp whose change log mentions cut & paste) and that also exhibits the above behaviour. So either it’s always been a bug, or it’s a Filer problem rather than the Wimp.

  • Status changed from Open to Fixed

Fixed in Filer-2_48.
