IOMD port status (Rev #1, changes)

Showing changes from revision #0 to #1: Added | Removed | Changed

Edit in progress…

  • If you have Select, you would be losing all of RISCOS Ltd’s enhancements since RISC OS 4.02. But if RISCOS Ltd release a set of Select modules that run on top of Iyonix RISC OS 5, they would probably run equally well on top of Risc PC RISC OS 5.
  • There is no provision for mixing 26-bit mode and 32-bit mode applications on the same machine – if you built the OS to run in 32-bit mode, you would be losing the ability to run legacy applications. However, it should still be possible to build the OS to run in 26-bit mode, with the loss of large application slots and the large module area.
  • Some modules, such as most of the CDFSSoft modules, are owned by third parties, and so cannot be released under the shared source scheme.
