Quick Guide: 14. Quit Edit (changes)

Left-click the “Quit” option in Edit’s iconbar menu.

Quitting an application will free up a bit of memory and make a bit more space on the iconbar but other than that, you don’t have to quit when you’ve finished using it – RISC OS applications don’t tend to use up a lot of memory. Try left-clicking on the Task Manager iconbar icon (the raspberry) and you will see a window displaying how all of the memory is currently being used.
