USB connected 500GB hard drive, DVD writer, and 4-port USB hub. Looks like a nice compact and attractive solution for use with BeagleBoards and suchlike. Looks like Expansys are going to start selling it in the UK sometime soon. Or if you can’t wait, you can just buy it from Amazon US (either with or without the hard drive fitted) Also I’d better point out that since Filecore is currently limited to 256GB partitions, you may have to wait a while before you’re able to use the full 500GB! |

If it only had space to fit the beagleboard inside. |

It might possibly have enough space without the HDD and CD drive tray! |

All it needs is a power bulge :-) |

If Expansys’s prices are correct (they’re still listing it as having “no confirmed lead time” – although they also say that availability is “normally less than 5 days”) then it looks like it will be much cheaper to buy and fit the hard disc yourself. (HDless NetDock + 500GB 2.5’’ SATA HD = £120, NetDock with HD fitted = £152) |
