h3. Overview A number of desktop screen savers are available via the 'Screen' configuration window. h3. List of screen savers * DPMS - blanks the screen (monitor "sleep" mode). This is the default setting. * AcornLogo - bounce the Acorn logo around the screen * Circles - randomly plot black circles on screen * Deskball - "plays" a game of Breakout * Pogo - animated acorn on a pogo stick * Rain - simulates rain on a window pane * Random - chooses another screensaver at random * Scrbounce - desktop display bounces round the screen * Scrolling - scrolling text message * Shred - "paper shredder" effect on the desktop * Slider - sliding block puzzle * Smear - As for "Shred", but diagonally * Snow - falling snow on a dark background * SprBounce - bounce a sprite around the screen * Swarm - fast-moving swarm of dots h3. To activate a screen saver # Double-click on !Boot on your hard disc # Click on the 'Screen' icon (in the 'Configuration' window) # Choose a screen saver from the 'Type' pop-up menu # If necessary, click on 'Settings' (e.g. to change the animation speed) # Set the 'Blank delay' to something appropriate # Click 'Try' to test it. # Enjoy! h3. Installation Instructions This software forms part of the !Boot structure in the standard HardDisc4 image. Updates are normally performed via the BootMerge facility (Configuration > Boot > Install). h3.
