At present the port consists of three components:
At present the port is known to be functional on the following hardware devices:
The OMAP 4 port is currently a work in progress. Users with an adequate backup strategy in place may wish to try the beta version as it stands.
The RISC OS Roadmap covers items which are not specific to the OMAP 4, and the bug tracker covers defects in existing components. This table covers planned future tasks or areas that are yet to be implemented on OMAP 4.
Enhancements to existing OMAP 4 functionality | ||
---|---|---|
Task | Description/Status | Assigned to |
OMAP video driver | Using a screen mode 1920×1200 > 50Hz refresh causes green speckles to appear on the screen on the PandaBoard ES. | See linked page |
OMAP 4 – HAL Video | HDMI port non functional. Lack of documentation. | Unassigned |
OMAP 4 – HAL IIC | Shutdown/Restart, Ctrl-Break nearly always result in a freeze believed to be a problem with the IIC controller. Lack of documentation. | Unassigned |
OMAP 4 – HAL SDIO | Certain brands of SD card fail to boot if the reset button is pressed. Removing and reinserting the SD card continues the boot. | Unassigned |
OMAP 4 – HAL Video | No support for screen modes using < 256 colours, due to a chip errata | Unassigned |
Unimplemented OMAP 4 features | ||
Task | Description/Status | Assigned to |
Sound upsampling | Only sample rates of 88200 and 96000 supported by hardware, but a number of OS interfaces and applications assume that 22kHz VIDC rate is always available, and now it isn’t. | Unassigned |
