I think I might have solved this, I have identical check sums on larger imaged SSD from smaller Iyonix HDD. It’s easy, erm, once you know how. I’ll post the brief steps for potentially two methods in a few days. It was the bit at the end which was wrong. Check summing the individual files was not possible, neither was copying the files from image file out to Linux, from a Linux ADFS mount. Umh, I think hard breaking spaces were coming into play here (my discs contents may be corrupt, but they seemed OK on Iyonix). So I don’t have an option to copy directly from Linux to RPCEmu’s HostFS as yet.

My DiscReader program (the non fixing parts of DiscKnight compiled for Linux) would probably do it. It can read all or part of of a FileCore disk image and save out files with a comma extensions. You probably will get issues with top bit set characters in filenames, as every disc, network and emulator host filing system has different (and non reversible) character mappings.

Please can you put a link for Linux version of !DiscKnight? I’ve looked on ARM Club website but can’t see it. Thanks

I don’t officially ship DiscKnight for Linux, but I can either build a version the command line tool for Mint or Raspbian, or let you have the source code for DiscReader to compile yourself.

I think it’s safer (most likely to run on my setup) and easier if I could compile your source code. If that’s an easier option for you too? DiscReader certainly sounds like it will help me get my files into HostFS and is much appreciated, thanks. My email address is david[dot]lamda[at]hotmail.com
