DDE28 "Filen ame 'C++:Messages' not recognised" when trying to run !C++

I get the error “File name ‘C++:Messages’ not recognised” when I try to run the !C++ in DDE 28. Anyone else seen this? Something I’m doing wrong (or not doing) or have I found a bug? |

I suspect no one has answered because no one is using C++ from the DDE! It’s a really old C++ to C converter which wasn’t great even when it was new :-( For C++ you’re better off using GCC. |

I did have some problems with C++, linked to the fact that the Wimpslot is too small in the frontend. |

It seemed OK to me when I tried (aside from the Wimpslot being too small as David noted; changing !C++.Desc to have 800k seemed to sort that). What does *Show C++*report? It points at !C++ on my machine, and there’s a Messages file there too. No problem! |

Ahh, interesting comment about using GCC instead for C++ – I’ll keep that in mind. Not in front of my machine at the moment but will have a look and see what ‘Show C++’ produces (and look in to the WimpSlot size as well) Thanks. |
