Recommendations of a powered USB hub

Can anyone recommend a powered 4 or more port USB hub? There’s so many out there I just wanted to gather others experiences with them first before I purchase one. Thanks, |

I have a 10 port hub – Aquadam by Duronic. It has the “disadvantage” that it can back-power a RPi1 or 2 – but it has a 2A PSU (wall-wart), and has never caused me any problems (apparently it shouldn’t do this!). But I said I had one – I’ve just bought 3 more to use with my additional Pis – so I guess that’s a recommendation! I noticed that I could glue (sticky pad, elastic band?) a Pi Zero to the space over the manufacturer’s label. Less than a fiver (plus postage – which is why I bought 3). Worth a look! Google it! |

Since July 2013 I’ve been using a Plugable 7 Port High Speed USB 2.0 Hub (with 3A Power Adapter for UK Mains) bought through Amazon, initially with my Raspberry Pi 1 (which it powered) and then for the past two years with my Pandaboard. Been in daily use with keyboard, mouse and external HD attached and I’ve never had a single problem with it. |
