EasiWriter icon incorrect after RC15 upgrade

Since upgrading to RC15 the EasiWriter saved icon displays a question mark rather than the standard icon. The document type is still recognised as an EasiDoc(d01) and loads EasiWriter before displaying document. No other programs seem to be affected. Any solutions please? |

Does EasiWriter need to be seen by the filer before the iconsprites command for the saved icon gets run? If it is in Apps or Utilities that will happen automatically. |

Yes – agreed but I already have !EasiWrite set in Boot-at-startup so should be seen automatically on Boot-up. EasiWriter has always has its own directory in a further director called Editors and I have never had issues like this before. |

It appears that the file_d01 sprite is missing from !TechWrite.5Sprites (used by RO 5) but present in !Sprites. Not sure why. The !Boot file IconSprites the relevant file depending which version of RISC OS you are running. |

I’m sure this has some relevance to my problem but this is what I have since done to get round the issue… Having not seen anything like this before I performed another RC15 update and the sprite is now correct. Weird!! I did have big problems with EDID doing the first one having absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had to trawl through numerous ROOL forums to find some rather vital information which I have posted under another heading to get the new monitor settings to work. |
