Following a discussion in in the ARMiniX support list about Dict I found Alignment Exceptions were Off (The default as supplied with ARMX6). |

@ John Rickman I’ve sent you a copy of Verma Version 0.27c which works on my ARMX6 and should also be ARM7 compliant. Regards Ron. |

Hello Ron – thanks – no sign of it yet. Which email did you use? |

I notice that version 0.26 doesn’t load when the Alignment Exceptions are being switched off, but will keep running happily when the AE are switched off after loading. |

@Paul, ronDotbriscoeAtblueyonderDotcoDotuk giving me a return address to send the zipped copy to. BTW Thanks for this version is due to Colin Ferris supplying Lenny with a new Runimage for ArM7. Regards Ron. |

David that’s a link to an archived resource which gives you Verma 0.27 rather than the fixed 0.27c referred to in the posts above. Edit: Apologies – looking properly at the page the bottom link is to the patched RunImage. |

Logical question: why is it proving so difficult to find a program? |
Steve Pampling (1551) 7960 posts |
Entropy. We have certain items that are “essentials” for certain situations and the hosting sites aren’t always remaining available. |
Rick Murray (539) 13428 posts |
I see people emailing versions around. Would it not make more sense if somebody has a bit of web space (and the licence allows it) to host it somewhere for the benefit of others? |
Steve Pampling (1551) 7960 posts |
As pointed out by David Pitt – Wayback machine has the unpatched full version and the patched RunImage. |
Rick Murray (539) 13428 posts |
That would be best, so going forward changes can be applied as and when necessary rather than needing to hack the binary or give up. |

Thanks to all, I have patched Verma ans it works fine on ARMX6 and Rpi3 with Alignement exceptions on. |

Assume something is not compatible unless there’s a source that says otherwise. The program description, perhaps, or failing that… https://www.riscosopen.org/wiki/documentation/show/ARMv6%2Fv7%20software%20compatibility%20list |

PS – my Zap Ultimate is ARMv7 compatible. Earlier versions are not for C/assembler colorisation. I ought to edit the list, but it needs scripting so doesn’t work with NetSurf… |

Assume something is not compatible unless there’s a source that says otherwise. The program description, perhaps, or failing that… Reminder to all – if you have information on programs that are not listed on that page then get your editing head on and add the information. Even listing broken but useful software is good. |
