There are obviously some people who put that answer who are RISC OS users already – me, for example (and technically, it’s true; the next computer I buy will run RISC OS). And some may have done it simply because they can, perhaps having used it in the past, but not necessarily seriously meaning it. Salt needed. Just a pinch. |

Totally agree. I can’t imagine those 330 people who voted “Some sort of Amiga thing” spending 2000 EUR on Amiga One X5000. I even doubt A-EON has that many X5000s available in stock. |

100 as I type… Alternative to pinch of salt viewpoint is that there is a large percentage of existing RO users that read The Register and are being honest |

It’s worth smiling over the fact that El Reg included RISC OS as a separate entry and not as part of the “something else”. It’s Maybe the Amiga is the protest vote option for people who don’t know what RISC OS is? ☺️ |

For my day job I administer a non-IT-related website, and I can tell you from the stats that we get around twice as many RISC OS users as we do Amiga users. That’s with my home IP address excluded :) |

Chris Williams is now Editor in Chief. This may or may not be a factor. :) |
