cvs source

How do you de-cvs the riscos source code? though technically I could strip the junk out manually but its not very practical, I’ve looked through various bits on the site but I did’t see anything specifically about the cvs being filtered out between stuff about downloading and editing/building the source. I have no experience with cvs, no web searches brought up anything useful on this antique protocol, is there some command i’m missing or a bit of software that’s not part of the cvs-tified source? |

It’s documented on this page but in short:
Argh! Textile is messing with the code even with “pre” and “code” tags around it! Just look at the linked page instead :) Ten edits later, that’s close enough… Getting back on-topic, the CVS repo archives are intended for use with a CVS server rather than being decompressed directly. As you’ve seen, they have all sorts of “CVS code” scattered throughout. On the other hand, when you “check out” using a proper CVS client it’ll strip all the rubbish out for you. Alternatively you can download a “source code archive” from here, which works directly without needing a CVS client. These archives don’t include absolutely everything that’s in CVS though. |

oh.. maybe it’s just my misunderstanding it, i interpreted the smaller downloads as being the same as the large download, only specific rom builds, i had the full one and even had a cvs prog (on windows) installed trying to do something with that cvs added stuff, ah well, thanks |
