Ticket #280 (Invalid)Fri Mar 25 14:58:39 UTC 2011

Old forum posts with hypertext link to the wiki use /pages/ and '+' notation instead of newer /show/ and '%20' notation

Reported by: Trevor Johnson (329) Severity: Minor
Part: Web site: Beast (forum engine; forum pages) Release: 3rd public site release
Milestone: 3rd public site release completed Status Invalid

Details by Trevor Johnson (329):

For an example, see https://www.riscosopen.org/forum/forums/5/topics/367#posts-3424

  • Points to http://www.riscosopen.org/wiki/documentation/pages/Cortex-A8+hardware+compatability+list#storage
  • Should point to http://www.riscosopen.org/wiki/documentation/show/Cortex-A8%20hardware%20compatibility%20list#storage

I don’t know how many posts this affects, but if it’s significant could there be some automated way of replacing the links (to cover both http and https)?

Changelog:

Modified by Andrew Hodgkinson (6) Fri, August 30 2013 - 05:24:57 GMT

  • Status changed from Open to Invalid

This took a while to get back around to. You have a typing error in the URL. The Wiki already maps old-style URLs through redirection.

Note “compatability” vs “compatibility”. The old-style link mapping to the new-style link you give in your fault report would actually be:

So closed as not a bug (fortunately – I didn’t fancy grubbing around in the bowels of the Wiki again right now!).

Let’s try that again:
