Ticket #325 (Invalid)Sat Nov 10 21:32:25 UTC 2012

keybord not working well

Reported by: Anders Henschen (1730) Severity: Normal
Part: RISC OS: General Release:
Milestone: Status Invalid

Details by Anders Henschen (1730):

I installed RISC OS on my Pi today, and I am impressed by the speed and graphics quality. But the keyboard, in Swedish, does not work well. Turning off repeat makes it a little better, but it seems to be random, whether a pressed key is registered or not. As it is now, I would say the keyboard is not usable, at least not when configured for Swedish. I used this version: “riscos-2012-11-01-RC6”, for the Raspberry Pi.

I did not mention, that when a key press is actually registered, the key often seems to get stuck, so that you cant stop the repeat of the pressed char (or backspace) if repeat was enabled at the time.

Modified by Anders Henschen (1730) Sun, November 11 2012 - 19:42:32 GMT

  • Status changed from Open to Invalid
  • Severity changed from Major to Normal

Seems I reported this a bit hastily. When selection of keyboard is followed by restart (or restarting application, don’t sure what) it seems to work OK. Sorry for your extra trouble.
