This call is allows issued by the kernel when it is deciding which screen mode to select when a GraphicsV driver is first activated. It allows the driver to override the supplied choice of screen mode with in one certain which situations, is more appropriate, e.g. on driver startup, or the default mode used by the Wimp. For example, a device with a fixed sizeLCD may want to select a mode which fills the display.
The kernel issues this call from within OS_ReadSysInfo 1. However it will only issue it under certain circumstances – see the OS_ReadSysInfo page for details.
