*LoadModeFile

Use

This *Command loads a Monitor Definition File or EDID file into memory.

Syntax

*LoadModeFile filename

Parameters

filename Valid pathname to a file

Notes

This call makes all the screen modes defined in the file available for use, while removing all modes defined in any previously loaded file.

Support for reading EDID files was introduced by ScreenModes 0.39.

Currently EDID files are detected by looking for a valid EDID block 0 header at the start of the file, rather than making the decision based on the file’s filetype.
