*Tuning

Use

This *Command sets the overall tuning for the *Sound (and *QSound) system.

Syntax

*Tuning relative_change
*Tuning auto <on|off>

Parameters

relative_change -16383 to +16383 (0 to reset to default)

Notes

This command has two forms.

The first form controls the manual tuning. When setting manual tuning, a value of 0 can be specified to reset to the default value.

The second form of the command controls automatic tuning. If automatic tuning is on, the tuning value will be automatically adjusted to match changes in the sound system sample rate. If automatic tuning is enabled then any attempt to set the manual tuning value will be silently ignored.

Automatic tuning first became available in RISC OS 5.19 (SoundChannels 1.37), and is enabled by default.
