Quick Guide: 15. The “RISC OS” Menu

<< first | << back | welcome ^^ | next >>

Middle-click the Task Manager iconbar icon (a raspberry) to open the “RISC OS” menu.

This menu is probably the most important one because it tells you what version of RISC OS you are running, provides a way to get to the system configuration tools, starts up a task window (a command line console) and lets you shutdown.

Note: there is a keyboard shortcut for shutdown (shift-ctrl-F12) and for opening a new task window (ctrl-F12). These are hot keys so should work even if input focus is in another window.
