The software published on this site is made available under various license schemes. Please do not assume that all of the software that you can download from our site is published under the same license terms.
For example, there are a number of open source packages which we have used to create this website. Any packages we have modified can be found in our Subversion repository (we’ve also fed-back any significant changes to the package developers). The sources for each package will include clear statements of their license terms. Also note there are links at the bottom of most of our pages which will take you to the home pages for the package which is running each part of our site.
The Shared Source RISC OS project, which can be found in the “castle” section of our CVS repository, publishes software and sources under Castle Technology Ltd’s dual-license scheme. More information about Castle’s license terms can be found here. A copy of the Castle non-commercial license can be downloaded here (PDF format).
There are also software packages published in other sections of our CVS repository. Each package will clearly state the license terms under which it is published.
