Working towards the next stable release
Itching for a RISC OS 5.30 release? There’s a lot still to do! Here are some ways to get involved in making it the best release yet:
- Try to spot any typos in the draft User Guide before it goes to print
- Try out release candidate 3 available to download now
- Feed back any issues via the bugs forum or in a ticket
- Candidate ports have varying amounts of work to meet the stable release criteria, and some ports might not make the cut
Supporting RISC OS Open
RISC OS is getting ever more popular and there are more people trying it out every day. While this is great, please remember that this also means an increase in the amount of work ROOL and our helpers are having to do behind the scenes, as well as increases in our operating costs. Please consider donating something to help us to keep making RISC OS better.
Licensing
Please be aware that while RISC OS is itself an Open Source project, the distributions RISC OS Open provides on our site may include third-party applications, logos and other material, which have different licensing terms. Although we are confident RISC OS Open have secured the rights to publish these materials, anyone planning on publishing their own derived works from our distros should take care to secure all appropriate rights to do so.
The RISC OS Open logo is distributed under the CC BY-NC-ND licence. BeagleBoard, PandaBoard and Wandboard logos are distributed under the CC BY-SA licence, courtesy of the respective BeagleBoard, PandaBoard and Wandboard sites.
