egrep in CVS not ARMv7-safe

egrep is not ARMv7-safe. When replaced with grep and egrep at riscos.info the ROM builds on the BeagleBoard.

So, we have in the sources:

  • Unix grep and egrep
  • GNU grep

Is there GNU egrep too?

Can we simply import the newer GNU grep and egrep from riscos.info in order to close this ticket and simplify the build process for new people?

(Apologies if it’s not quite as easy as that.)

Fixed a few weeks ago when I updated all the GCC-based tools to build using GCC4.
