Problem “just went away”. Very mysterious. May be a combination of being logged out, HTTP, or HTTPS fetching; could’ve been down to a recent CVS checkin (might take a while for back-end components to update, but it really shouldn’t).

Keeping an eye on it…

Modified by Andrew Hodgkinson (6) Fri, December 01 2006 - 12:08:33 GMT

  • Milestone changed from First public site release completed to Prototype site ready for release
  • Severity changed from Major to Normal
  • Release changed from First public site release to 2nd public site release

The problem has not happened again and might have been due to stale FGCI processes or the like, since at the time this was noticed the more rigorous restart scripts had not yet been written.

I don’t like closing something without explanation or a fix, but since a restart works around the issue I’m happy to defer this to the second site release rather than hold the first release up any further.

  • Status changed from Open to Fixed

Ticket #90 was originally set while migrating the site to a vhost location on its prototype domain. This migration seems to have provoked the fault at the time, as configuration data for the various components was in a state of flux. With everything now settled and fully configured at the ROOL Arachsys account, the problem has not surfaced again. Closing this now; I can always reopen the fault in the unlikely event that it reappears.
